Mavuradonha Mission was established in 1928.The school was closed in 1974 due to the war and remained closed until after independence. With Mr. L.J. Kavumbura as the headmaster, the school reopened in 1981 with two form 1 and two form 3 classes with a lot of reconstruction being made. The first ‘O’ level examinations were written in 1982. The school developed to the point that it was granted ‘A’ Level status in 1989.
